Restaurant Review: The Blue Tractor

While I own a Kubota Tractor and its one of my favorite toys, going to a restaurant with pictures of tractor parts just isn't that appealing. It was puzzling to me when I walked into the restaurant and there were lots and lots of people wearing blue mechanics work clothes. Eventually I realized they were the waiters...Be prepared for an extremely noisy area, they also allow smoking at the bar so you'll be smelling that while you eat too. I had the beer battered white fish. It had too much batter on it and just wasn't that good. It came with vinegar sides but I'd already been warned to avoid the vinegar fries and go for something else. I tried the buttered green beans, which were fresh and tasty along with mustard Cole sole. Overall, I would say this restaurant is a "needs improvement" and I don't plan on going back there soon. There are too many good restaurants in Traverse City.

The Journey Begins

Weclome and Greetings! I decided to start this blog to capture some of the experiences we have Going North to Traverse City, Michigan. For many years, since 1984 when my parents first bought a cottage at Spider Lake, we have ventured North. I took a short break of 25 years to complete a military career but always found we could make a least one trip a year to the cottage in Traverse City. Strangely, even after all these years, I still haven't come close to experiencing all that this wonderful area has to offer. Hence, the need for this blog. I hope you enjoy reading and please let me know what you think,

sincerely
